Corwin woke up with Kasandra licking his face, happily wagging her tail. Having her around was the only thing that kept him sane in his dull, four room apartment. He scratched her behind the ears and checked his cell phone for the time. Another ten minutes and the alarm would have gone off, of which would go off thirty minutes before he had to work.
